    Memories of Sarge (George Kennedy)

This show was about a Priest (George Kennedy) who had been a police officer previously, hence his nickname Sarge. The episode I remember best was The Combatants. It had Don Johnson as hillbilly Marine recruit that was being targeted by his sargeant and punished very unfairly. In fact this man(Morgan Woodward I think) kidnapped Don Johnson"s character and was planning to kill him since he couldn"t break him or force him to resign. Tom Selleck had a small part in this episode (a marine Captain) and Randolph Mantooth had a memorable couple of scenes as Cpl. Finch. I saw a rerun of this show several years ago, but it had been cut down to fit in a hour timeslot. I would very much like to see the whole series restored and run, there were only a few episodes made. It was too good to be forgotten.
