I seem to recall that Brian Keith was found dead in his Malibu home back in 1997 apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot would. He was 75 but was suffering from lung cancer and emphysema and was apparently distraught over the suicide of his own 27-year-old daughter (also from a gunshot) a few months prior.
