When NBC originally aired TCB I used to catch hell on the playground. I was 11 years old, living in California and my name is James (Jim) Bronson. I remember the running gag was "where's your beanie cap?" or "how did you jump that canyon?", usually followed up with a continuity critique regarding how I started the jump on one type of motorcycle (a Triumph Springer?) only to then perform the stunt on a different bike (BSA?). Pretty good trick, even for the new X gamers! Every week when a new episode would come on TV and the kids would "quiz" me about my latest "adventure". I would explain to them that they had better be nice to me otherwise "Uncle Chuck" (Charles Bronson - no actual relation) would pay them a visit.
Years later, I worked as a DJ for Radio KROP, when I found a Michael Parks album - "You Don't Know Me". It's a great record and needless to say, many of the tracks made it on to the play rotation during my shifts. Pretty cool to make out to as I remember, now if only my record player still worked!
