Many of you have said it already, but I really thought I was the only one who rembered this show and loved the music.  I was/am a huge John Denver fan. Any time I think about tv shows from my teen years this show comes to mind.  I was 13 when the show came out and was very disappointed when it was cancelled. I wish TV Land would bring this and other old shows back.  I also saw every episode of Emergency and still watch it today. Now I watch it with my son who wants to follow in my footsteps and become a volunteer firefighter/medical responder which was inspired by Emergency.

 And as an added bonus, a reply by someone who actually wrote with John Denver.  Can anyone say... "far out?"

This song has never left me, its haunting tune and lyrics so sum up the countryside where 'Sierra' is set.

 

I look forward getting the song on itunes (if it ever is released). I really liked this series when growing up, and I wanted one of the 4x4 vehicles they drove !

Thanks for the link to the mp3.  I was just in Yosemite and thought about that show.  I can't believe it was 25 years ago, and that it only showed a few times before being pulled!
