In the Super70s,for me,there was no funnier game show than "The Match Game". Hosted by Gene Rayburn w/celebrity panelists like Richard Dawson,Brett Somers,Betty White,Charles Nelson Reilley & others. This show constantly pushed the envelope in terms of "bawdy" or "risque" humor in terms of how the questions were phrased.
Example: "Weird Wanda is Soooo Weird!" Audience & panel:"How Weird Is She?!! "She is so weird she tried to cross a fig with a duck,in an effort to get a ______ (blank)! Not an actual Q from the show but an example. ![Big Smile [:D]](/Community/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
Gene would get rowdy,as well as the panelisits and sometimes even the contestants would say the most surprising of answers. Sometimes, the contestants were noticably embarrased by the "blue" humor. The point of the game was Gene read the Question, the contestant would answre and all the panelists had to Match his/her answers. The contestant that won went on to a similarly contstucted bonus round but only one celebrity had to match. Usually Richard Dawson, whom most ladies picked.
