    Memories of Cannon

This is the first time I ever got to see William Conrad on television. he was the voice of U.S. Marshal Matt Dillon on the Gunsmoke Radio Show, the narrorator of various documentaries, and the Fugitive (he had a very good voice for this kind of work).

He is a private detective who drive a Lincon Mark III (first season) and a Lincoln Mark IV (second through fifth & final season) silver metallic, black vinyl top with red leather interior. (Ford Motor Company furnished the cars, standard QM Fair). He lived in a luxurious apartment, ate gourmet meals and Charged a hefty fee for his services.

    Re: Memories of Cannon

Frank Cannon, 300 pounds of crimefighter with a voice like a cannon as well. Travelled about in a Lincoln Mark II(III?) with a mobile phone- very advanced techno 4 the time. Always got the bad guy in the end. Sometimes they'd pull a pistol on Frank, who would inch closer then BAM !! bump the fiend with his corpulant tummy, throwing the criminal to the gorund and the gun into Cannon's hands. He even ate alot on the show. Part of a ground of 'Super70s PI shows incl'd Barnaby Jones, Rockford, etc. Today he'd be Atkins!
