My Three Sons or was it FOUR Sons ??? As fans of the sitcom remember, the original three sons were: Mike (oldest), Robbie (middle) and Chip (youngest). There was also "BUB", who often did the cooking and cleaning when Steve Douglas was off at the office. The show made dramatic changes in it's third season as Mike just went off someone never to return. A neighborhood friend named Ernie soon started hanging around the Douglas clan and BINGO. . . . . Steve adopted Ernie (interestingly, Chip & Ernie were real brothers Livingston).

Then came Williams Demerest as Uncle Charlie, who had the WORST looking hairdo on television. I'm not quite sure whatever happened to BUB. . . but it was Uncle Charlie in technicolor ! As the boys got older, Robbie married Katie and had triplets. . . . Chip and Ernie (the kid with the glasses) got older and Steve married the blonde hottie (don't remember her name) other than she had a child (daughter) from a previous marriage named "dodie". It was a nice show while it lasted but after the 3rd year. . . the writers kind of went south as did the show. Still fun to watch in syndication !
