Memories of the Paul Lynde Show

All I know is that every Wed. Night at 8:00pm back in 1972, my family and I would sit in front of our TV and laugh our butts off during a quick half hour of The Paul Lynde Show. Now let me tell you this was in the early Super70s, so the idea that Paul Lynde was gay was never brought up. He was a very funny, funny man who we all remembered as Uncle Arthur on Bewitched. I am a straight man in my forties with a loving wife and 3 kids, aging from 8 to 17 and we all still laugh our butts off at this man's comedeic genius.

We have just optained a few of The Paul Lynde Show episodes on Ebay and find that it would be ashame if this etire show did not come available to the public at this time on DVD or Vhs. The idea of Paul Lynde as a "Family" man was a scream, but then again I'm sure there are a few too many "closet-cases" out there that have pretened to raise a family. Lynde just did it with his intence Flaming Persona, We all miss him and should be able to enjoy all the works that he has accomplished. Thanks for letting me Share My Thoughts.

Re: Memories of the Paul Lynde Show

This show was way to funny for it's time! Paul Lynde with Family?? That in it's self is a scream. Why is this not available to own on DVD?? You can't tell me that they have destroyed this work and all that is left are 8 Episodes. The whole season should be released for those fans of Paul's (and believe me we are many) to enjoy in our own homes! SHAME SHAME SHAME!

Re: Memories of the Paul Lynde Show

The Paul Lynde Show was perhaps a bit before it's time. If the amazinly funny comedian were still alive to recreate this role I beleive he'd have a long running hit on his hands. It had some really Great lines that no one but Lynde himself could deliver. Hopefuly all 26 of this show will be released on DVD some day.
