Memories of San Pedro Beach Bums

I was just 12 years old when I watched it. I know it had really bad ratings but I remember my brother and I enjoying it anyways at that age. A line that still stands out in my mind from that show was a hispanic guy that always said "football, you bet."

I was just a young teenager when the bums were on and I loved the show, the complete sillyness of their capers helped to distrack from the the growing pains of the teen years.Chris DeROSE who played Boychick in all of the shows except the pilot was so cute, not the greatest actor in the world but sure nice to look at. He went from New York cop to actor to rabid animal rights actavist and author. You never know where life will lead.

Wow, what a flashback. I don't recall anything at all about this series except for the "football, you bet!" line. I recall a Hispanic on the beach. That's it. But when I saw this page on the site, I instantly said to myself, "this is the 'football, you bet' series!" I was 7 years old, but I can remember a few of my friends at the time repeating it. If you gave me $10, 000, I wouldn't recall the TV series, though.
