    Memories of Medical Center

I think Medical Center was a great show. I loved to watch it every week. I always had to be home from work and in front of the Tv that night. I sometimes get to see a old episode and am amazed at how much real Medical work went into the shows.I think Chad Everett was great as Dr.Gannon, I wish they would bring back the show with Chad as the Chief of Staff, I know there are a lot of Medical Center fans still out here who would love it.

Dr. Gannon was the best. If it was not merely a show, he probly could cure the common cold. His hair was never out of place and parted on the right not the left.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

This was my favorite show back then (I was a young teenager w/ a crush). The show was dated, but it was a good show, and should come back. I will also be highly annoyed when ER surpasses it this year for the medical show having the most episodes.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

When Medical Center first premiered on CBS, it seemed at first like it would be just another pat medical show in which a young doc, and his older mentor, were the center of the show every week (much like Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, and Marcus Welby, MD.) But Medical center quickly pulled ahead of the rest of the doc show "pack" on the air, thanks to well-written, socially relevant episodes, great guest stars, and the superb acting of Chad Everett as Dr. Joe Gannon.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

Believe it or not, I was on an episode of Medical Center when I was 3 1/2 years old. It was called Fatal Memory - aired 02/28/73 (Season 4, Episode 97). I still have my script and received residual checks up until a few years ago. Last time I got a check it was for 55 cents because it aired in China!! What a waste of time to mail me that check!! I am 33 years old now and remember the taping like it was yesterday. I was the little blonde girl in the back seat of the car. Stephanie Powers was in the front seat and some man was driving the car (can't remember his name). Anyway, they sat me on a bunch of pillows and told me to look straight ahead & not to move or say anything cause the "lady" in the front of the car was going to scream really loud (We were driving off a cliff - supposidly) I did not move or say a word. Sad though, I died in the episode. After the shoot, Stephanie Powers asked if I wanted to take a walk with her and her big shaggy dog. I did not like her much and refused to go. My Mom couldn"t believe I said no. To top off my day, my Mom took me to McDonald"s because I did such a good job!! Smile [:)]

I have been trying to obtain a copy of my "15 minutes of fame", no luck to date - but I will keep trying. All in all, it is a great childhood memory of mine and of Medical Center. Smile [:)]

I used to love to sit and watch this show every week. Chad Everett was so handsome. It was also a good show and dealt with alot of real-life issues. I wish there more info about it on the Internet and about Chad Everett. I would love to see this show in syndication.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

Medical Center was one of my most favorite show back in the Super70s. My sister and I never missed it. We were both in our early teens so we have to talk our parents into letting us stay up to watch it on a school night. Luckily, they always let us watch it. My favorite episode was when Dr. Gannon celebrated his 36th birthday, and the problems he had with dealing with it, because in his past his father died at that age. I think it was one of the best Chad Everett acting moments on the show. I'll always remember him standing at his fathers grave thanking him for being his dad. Just a great moment.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

Medical Center was what I would call the cool version of the tv show, Marcus Welby. Chad Everett played Dr. Gannon and was a young, hip doctor who dispensed medicine as well as a live and let live attitude. He made us aware that doctors are human and live normal lives away from the hospital. There was an incredible chemistry among the cast and it is a pretty realistic model of what early Super70s pop culture was like. I only wish it played in re-runs more often.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

This show was absolutely one of my favorite shows at that time. I was eight years old and had a big crush on Dr. Gannon. Me and a friend of mine watched it faithfully. Our parents would get together with us and laugh at us sighing over him! Not only was he a hunk, the show was interesting enough with all the guest stars. At least you could learn something from it, unlike some of the shows today.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

Medical Center was one of the best of the medical dramas on tv. I remember watching it well when I was growing up in the Super70s. If the lady (Michele) that was on Medical Center as a child will email me I think I can help her find the episode she was in (ussbradford1164@aol.com).

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

I loved the Medical Center. I loved every episode. I only wish that they would put it back on tv in our area. I see all the classic shows on TVLand but not Medical Center. How do I go about requesting for them to put it on TVLand for my area? I'd be right at my tv watching. I remember watching the Medical Center when I was a child and never missed an episode unless I really had to.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

I think Medical Center was one of the best TV Medical shows. Not only was the Dr. Joe the best looking doctor, but was compassionate and usually right. My favorite show was Care is No Cure. One where the good doctor meets a lad(Shelby Grant) in Mexico and falls in love with her, Dr. Joe brings her back to the Medical Center where they find out she has an incurable disease. In the end she leaves while he is in surgery, so he won't have to watch her die. Great acting. Why can't they bring this one back in reruns. I know a lot of Medical Center fans would love it.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

I am a Medical Center fan, and I wish that Dr. Joe Gannon was my husb and if I was on the show with Chad Everett himself, if he does come back to Medical Center. My favorite episode is Care is no Cure is where you get to meet his Wife and Actress Shelby Grant who played T. J. O`hara she played a tour Guide in Mexico city. but the actress Shelby Grant was pregnant at the time she did that episode.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

There are very few episodes that weren't my favorites. Thanks to TNT I was able to tape a few episodes, but they deleted some scenes for commercials. I totally agree Medical Center should be brought back to TV.

    Re: Memories of Medical Center

I wish they would put Medical Center back on or pick 1 night a week showing old TV shows such as Hotel, Medical Center, Marcus Welby M. D. , Lost In Space & The Magican (starring the guy who played the Incrediable Hulk. ) The shows they play on regular TV is crap and I would rather play on the computer or just go to bed and watch nothing.

As far as witch Medical Center show I liked the most I liked all of them there isn't one I liked more than another.

If I can buy the episodes please let me know because I would buy them.
