    Memories of the Smith Family

The show aired in the UK on ITV in the Super70s (shown in Colour). The theme song was Primrose Lane was a great show and yeah I adored Darleen Carr too! And Ron Howard fresh from that fab Disney movie with Chuck Connors "Smoke" about a dog. Shame we did not have VCR's then. Be will nice if it was to get an oldies re-run.

I'm amazed that anyone else remembers The Smith Family! I sure wish PAX TV or TV Land would dig up this classic and share it with a new generation. Darleen Carr is one of the most beautiful women of all time, and Ronny Howard always delivers. Add the great Henry Fonda, and you've got a fabulous cast.

What I remember about "The Smith Family" was how odd it was that the youngest son played by Michael James Wixted had an British accent! I remember reading that Henry Fonda wanted Michael to work with a vocal coach to get rid of it before the second season began!
