    Robert Urich!

I'm a huge fan of Robert Urich, and have been since he was a member of The Rookies. The chemistry between him and Phyllis Davis was so cool The opening credits and Vega$ lights of this show made it one of the most exciting things to watch. Vega$, Starsky and Hutch could have saved the world together.

    Re: Robert Urich!

Like the previous posters I really enjoyed Robert Urich. I wish we could see more of his enjoyable shows even though he is gone. I enjoyed seeing the Desert Inn and lots of the other night spots so popular in Vegas in the Super70s. I also enjoy the episode "Serve, Volley and Kill". Chris George and Linda Day George were guest stars playing crooks who were determined to see the great tennis player, Bobby Howard (Randy Mantooth) lose the $100, 000 match and be humiliated. Tanna helps free Bobby's kidnapped sister and he is then able to win the match and Tanna finds the crook who is behind it all. Meanwhile, Red Buttons played a fake minister in a wedding chapel scheme. Lots of the great hotels are gone now too, but I still remember and miss them and Dan Tanna too.

Was there anyone better than Robert Urich? Even though he played many many roles up until his death, he will always be Dan Tanna to me. He was a special man with a huge talent and heaven is a better place for having him.

    Re: Robert Urich!

I was a HUGE fan of Vega$ and Robert Urich. I remember buying a poster of him with his shirt off. I was 13 years old. That poster hung above my bed for YEARS.

I would have to say my all time favorite show was when Dan was sick and close to dying. It's all a bit fuzzy, but I remember him being tortured by an insane ex-prisioner that Dan arrested years before. Does anyone else remember this episode and could help me fill in the blanks? Another favorite was the UFO Club episode. Dennis Cole was my favorite guess star. I believe that was one of three shows he appeared in.

I remember when I heard that Las Vegas was tearing down the Dessert Inn. I knew that the era of Vegas that I knew was coming to an end.
