It is a long, long time since this series was screened (in Australia it was
1975, from memory) but I remember portions of the first episode in which Julie
danced and sang with two other versions of herself as Eliza Doolittle and some
other character (I still don't know how they did this, I assume they used
doubles - or triples! - for Julie but it was extremely well done if they did).
At the end of the show Julie admitted she was "exhausted". I also remember
vividly the episode in which Julie's guest was the real Maria von Trapp, and in
the course of the interview the opening sequence from "The Sound of Music" was
screened on TV for the first time. A wholesome and entertaining show which I
believe was screened on cable TV in Australia a few years ago but I'm not aware
of any recent screenings.
