    Memories of Monday Night Football!

Howard Cosell!!! Who could forget the intro sound and his voice announcing the game of the evening, "Can they beat the Jets, that will be determined here tonight!" Love it!

October 10, 1988, Eagles vs Giants. The Elusive and Spidery Randall Cunningham. Randall from about 15 yards from the end zone sets to pass but is knocked down at the knee by a defender. He almost is completely down when he springs back up and fires it into the end zone for a TD. I don't remeber who the receiver was nor the defender who probably thought he was having a really bad dream.

Who could forget the final duel between John Elway and Joe Montana in 1994 in Denver? A classic Elway comeback with one minute on the clock that gave Denver a four-point lead. With six seconds remaining, Montana finds Willie Davis in the end zone to give the Chiefs the win at Mile High for the first time in over a decade. I don't care what anybody says, that was the greatest Monday Night game to date!

Re: Memories of Monday Night Football!

I am a longtime Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams fan and it seems the Rams, while in Los Angeles, never played well on Monday Night. However, I remember a game in 1977 when the Rams trashed the hated Vikings 35-3 and my memory is the fact that living in the so-cal area, games were not televised unless they sold out, and this one sold out so I got to see it and we killed the vikings. . . . sadly, the Vikes came back to Los Angeles in Decenmber and knocked the Rams out of the playoffs. . . .

one more memory--DARYL STINGLEY NIGHT--ENOUGH SAID!
