Looking for an episode of Real People

I was on the show when I was in 9th grade (pre-vcr's) and I told a joke, around 1980-1981. I really want a copy of the tape, but have no idea who to contact as I can not find an "official site" for Real People. Do you happen to have anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Looking for an episode of Real People

My dad, Jerry Scott, was on the show, "Real People" in the late Super70s. He and his fellow engineer buddies built a car that runs off wood instead of gas. I'm trying to get a VHS copy of the show to give to him for Father's Day. Do you have any clue as to where I can get a copy for him? I believe I can find the approximate air date if needed.

Just wanted to tell the person who was on the show and was looking for a copy: Try the 'Museum of Television' in New York City. You can go in there and watch any episode of pretty much any show.

Re: Looking for an episode of Real People

My Grandfather, Nels Swanberg of Nome, Alaska was featured in one of the shows, which I am trying to get ahold of a vhs copy, when "Real People" traveled to Alaska in either '81 or '82. He was a gold miner, born and raised in Nome. He has since passed away and I'm trying to find the video of that show for the family.....any suggestions?

Re: Looking for an episode of Real People

I am searching for information, footage or transcripts for a story that was filmed/taped to air but before it aired the show was cancelled. A friend of mine lost his brother, he was 11 and his brother was 8. Back in May of 1983 Real People did a show highlighting Eric Michael Hazelberg, he was born 5-1-1974. The show followed him on a trip to Disney World thru the Make a wish foundation. As I mention the show never aired the story but my friends family is desperately seeking any information that may still be on file. Do you know who I or they can contact to see if there is anything out there?

My friend is Tom Hazelberg, the older brother of Eric, Tom is a twin his twin brother is Ted Hazelberg. Eric's birthday was 5-1-1974. I am really hoping someone can give me some information that can put us into contact with the right people.

The family, Hazelberg's lived in Iron Ridge Wisconsin. Please feel free to email or contact me or Tom Hazelberg with anything you can provide. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Re: Looking for an episode of Real People

    Real People Fans,
For those of you looking for copies of the show or information on particular episodes, look to NBC. The show was produced by NBC in conjunction with George Schlatter (He produced Laugh-In as well). It was taped in Burbank, California. I don't believe they will make random copies but if your pursuit is one of serious nature they may be able to help.

For you Sarah Purcell fans I can tell you this. She is more beautiful on the inside than the outside. That big smile goes all the way to the heart. I have her and a wonderful casting agent to thank for giving me my first break in the entertainment industry. I was a cast member on the 2 episode spin off called "Real Kids". She was a great introduction into this business and I thank her for being a sweetheart. I'm now a 25 year veteran of the T. V. , film and music industry with a wonderful career behind and in front of me and I have her to thank. Good luck on your searches and thanks for watching.

    Take care,

    --Jimmy Keegan

Re: Looking for an episode of Real People

I am a Real People fan from way back and saying that, I am telling my age. I, too, want to see the show return perferably on DVD in a season pack ect.

WRITE: Mr. George Schlatter of George Schlatter Productions
    8321 Beverly Blvd.
    Los Angeles, CA 90048-2607.

Let him know we want Real People back to the fans uncut and in full segment length.

I am a big fan of the Super70s and Awesome80s television shows, especailly Arron Spelling's shows as I am buying the season sets usually two a month and holding on to the cash for Real People. I love all the episodes and could not wait to see them.
