Favorite episode where Burgess Meredith (who played the PROBE controller) was kidnapped from PROBE Control by an ex-agent. The idea for Search and Probe Control was way ahead of its time. Many of the shows then are so much better written, produced, directed, and staring then junk on tv in 2001.

I absolutely LOVED the NBC-TV show SEARCH! I was hooked immediately upon seeing the Pilot Movie (originally entitled PROBE), back in '72! Too bad this show only lasted one season! My favorite episode was one where "Probe Agent" C.R. Grover (Doug McClure) pursued a man who had created a device that was capable of short-circuiting power within a certain radius--and was threatening to destroy the ultra-sophisticated World Securities building (which contained the NASA-like control complex which assisted the agents on their missions). The title of that episode? "Short Circuit", of course-- written by series creator Leslie (Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century) Stevens.
