    Memories of Texas Wheelers

My family has been in Texas for over 150 years, and the family name is Wheeler.  When this show came out, our two daughters were teenagers and very conscious of their images.  Then came this rag-tag family on TV, and they were so afraid that it would be a success such as Bonanza or Gunsmoke was.  Their prayers may have been answered when it only lasted part of a season.  For myself, I thought that it was an entertaining show, and thought that Jack Elam added much to any film or TV production in which he appeared.
