    Loved Bearcats!

Picture this, its 1914 in the desert southwest and our heros, Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole are adventurers who travel not by horse, but in a car called a Stutz Bearcat. The car was sort of the star in the short lived series, it was really cute and always got them where they needed to go to save the day.

    Re: Loved Bearcats!

Bearcats ran from April to the end of December in 1971 with the pilot movie 'POWDERKEG' followed 13 episodes, sadly no more shows were made. It's stars ROD TAYLOR AND DENNIS COLE played a couple of soldiers of fortune driving around in their 1914 STUTZ BEARCAT car complete with gattling gun mounted on the back, an all action and humour filled show. I'll allways remember it for the opening shots of that stunning car racing across the desert with it's wheels shining in the sun.

I loved watching this show when I was a kid. The reason the show got cancelled is because it went up against powerhouse "Alias Smith and Jones". Too bad CBS couldn't assign it a different time slot.
