I remember that day like it was yesterday. My best friend was coming to visit me, I had not seen him since we were very young. while I was waiting at the airport I noticed the alaska airlines aircraft with my benoculars the somthing went wrong the aircraft began to desend at a steep rate then it crashed. My friend died and since that day I still do not fly.

My aunt and uncle and 2 cousins were on Flight 1866.  They never flew together until that day.  My uncle (Bill Parsons, Jr.) worked for Western Airlines.  My last memory of them were the first of Sept 1971, just a few days before, on their way to Alaska.  They came to CA from MN to my grandma's house.

RIP Bill, Pat, Kevin and Greg!
