Great show - loved the theme song

Not only was this a good harmless television show, but the theme is one of the best and will remain in my head probably for the rest of my life. Bill Bixby's loss at a young age was tragic.

My all-time favorite TV show is definitely "Courtship of Eddie's Father". I've been a Brandon Cruz fan since the show premiered in 1969. My favorite episode of "Courtship of Eddie's Father" is episode # 69-"It's All Write With Me", which guest-starred Pat Harrinngton Jr. This episode aired in late January or early February 1972 and was the first episode featuring Brandon Cruz wearing his glasses (he was almost 10 years old, but he's now 39 years old and wears contact lenses).

What I remember most is The theme song! I used to love this show and that theme song really still effects me!

The Courtship of Eddie's father was one of the last of the gentle, family-oriented sitcoms on the air during the late 60s/early Super70s. Eddie and his dad had a great father/son bond that made this show a joy to watch I will always fondly remember this show. I haven't seen where it's still in syndication anywhere, which is a shame.

The Courtship of Eddie's Father is my favorite TV show of all time! I remember watching it with my Dad when I was a boy and knowing that he was my Best Friend too. Now I am 39 with a two year old son - Donovan - of my own. I truly wish I could share this show with him as my Dad did with me. I have downloaded the theme song with small video trailer from season 1 and 2 and we watch them over and over. . . and over. . . and we love every second of it. Whenever I am not with him I call him and sing the theme song to him. We end up singing it over and over. So much fun! I know that a cable network called The Goodlife TV Network has picked up the series and airs it on Sunday nights at 9pm (according to their site) but I can't get it where I live.

I remember watching Eddie and his father go through the trials and tribulations of life's conflicts in a very caring, loving and supportive manner. Watching these episodes as a child made me want to grow up to be a father like Bill Bixby.

I now find myself with a wonderful family. My child is 3-years-old and while I do make some mistakes, we have a very close relationship and are never home on the weekends since we're too busy doing fun things like going to the beach.
