You have to admit that when Cher first appeared on TV without Sonny in her own show, she hit a home run, and became known as CHER! to the world.  With guest stars like Elton John, Bette Midler, and Flip Wilson, how could she lose?  And that opening, soft and slow with the song intro, and then "BOOM!" the cape comes off, and you see Cher strutting her stuff down that ramp.  Great memories of sitting home Sunday night glued to my TV set.
