    Memories of Green Acres

"GREEN ACRES" is definitely my all-time favorite TV show. The late Eva Gabor, who played Lisa Douglas on the show, was also the idol of youth. She was definitely one of the most beautiful and glamorous women in all of Hollywood, and she's very sadly missed.

Although I was very young at the time, I have fond memories of this series, and oddly enough can still hum the theme tune. The main memory I have though is that Lisa could only cook waffles, waffles and nothing but waffles!

    Re: Memories of Green Acres

One of the funniest shows ever. Critics knocked it for being corny, but it was rather sophisticated and often surreal. Great inside-out logic. Eddie Albert was the island of sanity. The first several episodes are not representative of the series as a whole. In the beginning, the show tried to use the fish-out-of-water theme, but the show took off when the off-kilter characters and situations came into play as the series went on. There aren't too many other shows at which I've laughed more.
