Sheriff Lobo, bay-bay!!!!!! Yeah! Claude Akins never did anything better before or since! But my main man was his bungling Sidekick, Deputy Perkins, played to the hilt by Mills Watson (who,at the time was usually seen on TV in guest roles as bad guys on shows like CHiP's,etc.). One particular episode I remember was when Perkins was snooping around a recording studio or something,bumping into things (as usual :). ye comes to a grand piano and imagines himself - in a hilarious fantasy sequence - as a rock star on a big stage clad in leather singing an old 50's rock song and a huge flashing neon sign with his name in capital is seen onstage behind him. TOO FUNNY!!!!!! For the next week, I went around saying that when I grew up, I wanted to be a rock star just like PERKINS!

I was less than five years old when this show was on, but I do remember how funny it was. I really got a kick out of all of the police cars crashing at the end of the opening credits. It is unfortunate that me, Homer Simpson, and a few others are the only ones who remember this classic.

This was a spin-off of BJ and the Bear. It was not a comedy, neither was it a cop show; each episode, however, had some of both. The show was much like The Dukes of Hazzard in terms of car-crashes and overall zanyness. Overall, and underated show not seen anywhere in reruns.

I remember this show from the early Awesome80s reruns on Saturday afternoons after "Hee-Haw" and "Pop! Goes the Country" in the schedule. one of the things I liked about the "Lobo" show was the atmosphere and the escapist storylines. while watching the show, or it's 'parent' "B.J. and the Bear", one couldn't help but forget for an hour or so about the bad economy or the overseas problems. I love the late Super70s programs. One of the scenes that's burned in my memory is watching Perkins getting bullets pulled out of his backside after being shot in the you know what.

Hi. I liked the series "LOBO". It was funny and enjoyable and I have been trying like crazy to get episodes of the show but no luck yet. Hopefully someone can help me. My favorite was the first episode of the second season when TARA BUCKMAN and AMY BOTWINCK joined the cast. They went undercover as wrestlers and ended going up against each other. When the series was cancelled I was disappointed. It was one of the few shows that I enjoyed every episode of.

While the regular Lobo series was slapstick, no one ever mentions, or maybe i'm the only one that remembers, is that on BJ and the Bear, the Sherriff Lobo character was extremely evil, serious and hardnosed. Then they gave him this show, and bozoed him up. to me the show never worked for this reason. It did have some funny moments. I guess.

My friend and I used to argue which show was better - Sheriff Lobo or Duke of Hazzard. I still think Lobo was better. I saw a few episodes recently of Lobo and it still makes me laugh.
