    The Governor and J.J.

    Hello,

I am writing in regard to Pete Jamison's overview of the series.  His quote of "The scripts weren't superb but the actors did what they could...." made me wonder if he might be able to help me find out which episode of the series had Bud Cort as a guest star.

I am a huge fan of his, and have a fan site for him "Bud Cort's Fan Club," and I am trying to update his TV performances, as I now have proof that he was once a guest star on the series.  I just won a photo of an episode, but the seller only had this info in regards to the still:

Crazy TV show on CBS (info on the back of still) from 12/12/1969 Tuesday at 9:30 Bud Cort plays a reporter for an underground publication, meets the governor's daughter, Julie Sommars, and is smitten with her.

I hope that you can tell me more about this episode.  I wish that I was able to get a VHS or DVD copy of it, but I know that it's not for sale at Columbia House - perhaps or Ebay or Amazon.com?  I would even be glad to know if you know of where I can get a copy of a script for this episode.  I think it might be "Binky's Buddy" or "Profiles in Discourage" as a guess, based on the titles of the episodes I saw from a "Governor and J.J." episode listing on the Web, both of which are from December of 1969.

I hope that Mr. Jamison, himself, might be able to help me, but whomever does, such help would be greatly appreciated to fill in the blanks about this episode.

    Regards,
    Tiwanna Ellerbe
