Favorite "It Takes a Thief" episodes

My favorite episode of It Takes A Thief is #62 titled "To Sing A Song of Murder". This is the episode which features peformances by The 5th Dimension. It features them singing my favorite song "Puppet Man" written by Neil Sedaka. I have fond memories of watching this show as a kid growing up in the Super70s and I haven't seen it in over 20 years.

[My favorite episode was] BIRD OF FEATHER! Written by a young GLEN A LARSON ! WAGNER is a cool, smooth thief who must go into an ambassy, take a microfilm and escape. But the evil guys know who he really is, want to let his do and catch him right after it. And they do! A very good episoe from a very good show ! Great theme by Dave GRUSIN!

I would have to say my Favorite Episode of ITAT is from Season 3 Episode #62 To Sing a Song of Murder which featured the popular 60's musical group The 5th Dimension-in the episode they performed 2 songs and one song "One less bell to answer" was featured in the plot.

Re: Favorite "It Takes a Thief" episodes

To Sing a Song of Murder was my favorite episode like several others have stated. My reason was that the 5th Dimension was one of my favorite group featuring Marilyn McCoo as the lead singer. Marilyn is a very lovely lady and starred with Robert Wagner in this episode. Alexander Mundy fell in love with her. He was white and she was black and their different races weren't an issue. It didn't affect this episode in the least. I really enjoyed this TV show for the few seasons it was on TV. I really liked the sauve Alexander Mundy and the way he always outsmarted Noah. I don't understand how Noah could have caught him in the beginning. Well, I guess if he hadn't there wouldn't have been a show LOL.

Re: Favorite "It Takes a Thief" episodes

It seems to me that the show I watch over and over is #2: Takes one to Know one. Susan St James says she wants to break Al's heart and he says "Listen" and then drops his wine glass to the floor. Great lines and a pretty good heist of jewels. I have every episode on DVD cause my VHS tapes were wearing out so I transferred them. I would suck into buying quality DVD's if Universal would put them out. Anyway, I think think this show is still strong 33 years later.

Every episode of ITAT is a classic. Cannot pick out a favorite but the episode with Ricardo Montalban and Bill Russell as his henchman is a hoot. But more importantly, I noticed a letter from Shakadula who says he has all the episodes on DVDs. Would love to see about purchasing a duplicate copy from him or on eBay. Can't find this TV series anywhere!

Re: Favorite "It Takes a Thief" episodes

My favorite episode of It Takes a Thief is the 1st one with Ricardo Montalban as Nick Grobo. Al was super smooth copping the diamond, and also takes out Bill Russell, with some help from Edwina Hopkins. Al and Nick: coolest tandem ever.
