    Favorite episodes of Project UFO

Favorite episode (forgive my memory since i haven't seen the show in decades): An Air Force officer on a road trip sees a huge UFO, but has lost the film for his camera. Later he goes back to the site, finds soil indentations, and a metallic crystal-looking thing. After burning his hand on it, puts on gloves and carries it to his car. Car doesn't start. Throws the thing over the hill in disgust. It explodes. Sounds way too much like something that would happen to me.

I remember the first episode which showed a flying saucer with two humanoids dressed in black spandex. They looks like Liza Minnelli in Cabaret. Another episode which frightened me it was a child who saw a UFO in front of his window with an odd crew.

Re: Favorite episodes of Project UFO

Project UFO was another Jack Webb produced shows. My favorite episode was called The Pipeline Incident and starred Randolph Mantooth, Donald May and Cameron Mitchell as the air crew of a cargo plane that spotted a UFO. Captain Ryan and his partner are sent to Alaska to investigate a report that the navigator, Tim Jenkins (Randolph Mantooth) made. At the time of the sighting , the pilot and copilot saw it too,but later they wanted to sweep it under the rug and claimed it was a weather balloon. They pressured Tim to change his story too. He at first refuses, but yields to pressure from his uncle (Cameron Mitchell)who doesn't want the investigation which would reveal his failing eyesight. The investigation proceeds anyway, the UFO was the MOON, Tim's uncle has to give up flying, but realizes its all for the best. Love your site, it has helped bring back so many memories.
