This was probably one of the classiest shows ever on television -- not a lot of heavy violence and sex. It was probably one of Aaron spelling's best shows he ever produced. It contained excellent acting and the writing was not light-hearted fluff like Charlie’s Angels, Dynasty, etc. (even though I and a lot of people liked these shows -- look at Nielsen ratings).
