I have nothing against wanks in general, or Buddy Ebsen in particular, but this program was totally assinine. Another attempt of early Super70s detective shows to make it different by making it implausible. Really, a 97 year old PI is hardly going to strike fear in the hearts of stone killers. 97 year old PIs are unlikely to strike fear in schoolyard bullies shaking down their classmates for lunch money on the playground. But the show, in its typically ridiculous and self-serious Quinn Martin fashion, did have its inadvertantly hiliarious moments. Like when Barnaby really wanted to cut loose and indulge himself with a glass of milk. Party hardy, Gramps.
