Jan.'02 - My entire family got together on Christmas Day and the big excitement was watching the first set of videos, since this was one of our favorite shows from our childhood. Had to send the children hurriedly from the room during what we call "the polka dot dress" episode during the "Celia with Hat" scenes. I don't think even PBS would have shown the nude pix back then, so we didn't remember them. We were all laughing as we saw the origin of such favorite family quotes as "I'm so frustrated" and "two fingers of whiskey." We all thought that Clara and C.D. were so charming, and their love story so innocent and sweet. So much of the "sitcom" in NH depends on trying to do the right thing, consideration of other peoples' feelings and acceptance of their foibles. I guess we must be getting old and pining for a more civilized time. Can't wait for the second set! "Sweet!" "Such fun!" "Max Montefishay!"
