    Loved Upstairs Downstairs

Upstairs Downstairs was one of the most awesome shows ever made. I just recently watched all the series on videotape for the 2d time. Personally, I think they should re-air it in light of all the problems in the world today. In some ways, history is repeating itself and Upstairs Downstair would be just as appropos today as it was 30 years ago.

    Re: Loved Upstairs Downstairs

I am only 12 years old but I LOVE Upstairs Downstairs! I have got the entire series on video and I watch them frequentley. What really annoys me is when I get teased at school for being fascinated by history, especially the Edwardian era and the first world war. Why can't they realise that it all did happen and that there were real people who had to face up to disaterous situations that we can't begin to imagine (e.g first world war). I wish there was a way of taking them back in time and SHOW them what it was like. I hope that anybody reading this doesn't think i am a freak.

Simply superb! At this moment the whole of the series is to be seen again on Belgian television. I watched the show in the early Super70s and again in 2003. What great actors!

    Re: Loved Upstairs Downstairs

I'm thirteen but I LOVE Upstairs, Downstairs. It's really realistic and interesting. It's historical, dramatic and often humorous. The War Years episodes are my favourite and I think the best scene is 'Leaving for France' when Edward and Daisy say goodbye to each other as he leaves for France.

Nobody in my class has heard of it, but I don't care because it's brilliant.

    Re: Loved Upstairs Downstairs

I was about 14 years old when Upstairs, Downstairs was 1st run. Had a mad crush on Pauline Collins, who played Sarah. When ever I now see Pauline on either tv or film, its like seeing a very special old friend.
