Cade's County was a great series...

It brings back memories of 1971 and my first year in secondary school. The show was screened on RTE - our national station in Ireland - and I was usually doing my homework and watching it at the same time. Each programme opened with a teaser sequence, which ended with a freeze frame followed by the rousing theme tune. One of my favourite episodes was the one which guest-starred Martin Sheen and Geoffrey Lewis and which opens with the kidnapping of Deputy Arlo when he answers a fake accident call. I haven't seen the episode in many years, but I remember it being full of action. The programme only lasted one season, which was a pity. It had great potential.
