I wish that our pension was looked at as closely as the
employees of Enron. It was taken over by The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. and
now has a deficit of $11 billion. I also remember alot of flight attendants
carrying a huge financial burden at time of closure. Some being stuck in cities
and having to get back to their home base in order to back up belongings and
have them shipped home. It was a terrible time with very little emotional
support from the community. I feel more sorry for Eastern Airlines employees
than I do the Enron employees.
