    About the USFL forum/message area

Please feel free to post USFL-related messages in this forum. This can include questions, trivia, and memories of individual games. Your messages will be seen by other USFL fans for decades to come!

I was a teenager living in Mesa, Arizona during the USFL years and attended many Wrangler/Outlaw games at Sun Devil Stadium. My two most memorable USFL moments were attending the first game against the Oakland Invaders and seeing our new pro football team crushed 24-0 and knowing it was going to be a long season, and watching about 20,000 fellow fans throw pizza shaped cardboard advertisements (for Dominos Pizza) onto the field after a public address announcement told us not to. This was during the infamous playoff game against Steve Young and the LA Express. The game was first moved from LA to Tempe because of the '84 Olympics, and then from an afternoon start to an evening start due to the excessive heat. Oh, and we won.
