Bobby Darin - truly an original!

I watched the Bobby Darin Show when I was a sophomore in high school. I loved his singing. He could do anything, blues, standards, rock, folk, country, you name it. I loved the duets he sang with his various musical guests. I also enjoyed his comic bits as the Godmother, being interviewed by a man who could barely look at Darin in his Godmother costume (gray wig and black dress) without laughing. Darin also did great impressions of Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, and a very funny Robert Mitchum. He just had a magnetism about him that was incredible. I did not know that he was actually quite ill while this show was being produced (you wouldn't have known from watching him), and I was saddened to hear that he died shortly after open-heart surgery about 6 months after the show ended. Darin was truly an original, and I hope to be able to see episodes of this show sometime in the future.

He was so cool, coals froze in his presence; And so hot he'd melt them back out. A consummate performer with an unparalleled talent, long since missed in the entertainment world. Tempered with his impecable comedic edge, he had it all and gave it to his audiences a hundred times over. Now, can you tell me where I can get copies of the show? Dean's have been released, Red Skelton, too. What, no Bobby? This must be a mistake.
