I would like to share with you my two favourite
Eight is Enough episodes. My favourite was when Joannie was in charge of a talent show to raise money for a local orphanage, the big star backed out at the last minute, and then all the other acts did as well. What was Joannie to do? Ask her family to perform in the show of course! It was fun watching them all sing, dance and have a ball. Brother David brought everyone to tears at the end with a song he wrote for his family, thanking them for not forgetting he is still with them, even though he moved away. The song "
Eight is Enough" later became the show's theme song.
My other favourite (everyone knows this one for sure) was the first Christmas following the death of the first mother. Tom had just recently remarried (Abby) and son Tom was having a difficult time during the holiday, missing his real mom. A burgler disguised as Santa stole all the family's Christmas presents, except for one. This gift was hidden away for Tommy, from you guessed it - his mother. A real tear jerker at the end.
