    Favorite show - Lotsa luck

It was my favorite show when I was in 6th grade. So much different than "Brady Bunch" or Partridge Family" type fare, funnier than much of the stuff today that only lasts one season. A lot of it seemed ad-lib; with Dom DeLouise that's not suprising. I can't recall the name of the well known character actress who played his mother, but she was great!

It was a good sitcom. . . not great. More than anything, I remember part of the theme song. . . I'll give it a try. . "I used to buy a pickle, it only used to cost a nickel, a dollar isn't worth a half a buck. In these days to be forgotten, the world has gotten rotten, lotsa luck. . . . lotsa luck. . . . . . . etc"

I have, however always missed it.

I distinctly remember one episode featuring the replacement of the family toilet (thank you for breaking that ground, Norman Lear). The cheapest available was a reject from a Howard Johnson's and was in their trademark colors of turquoise and orange.
