    Memories of "Nancy"

The character of Nancy (played by Renee Jarrett) was the daughter of the President of the U.S., and I believe John Fink played her fiance in the short-lived show. I remember liking the show, but cannot remember much more about it.

I loved this TV show, although I don't remember much about it. I think that I was in Jr High school when it came out (now I am in my late 40's) I remember that she was the president's daughters and that she married a veternarian. There was always some kind of problem with secret service and the press crawling all over the place. It was really funny and I felt sorry for the husband because all he wanted to do was get on with his life but he was not a whiney about the sitation.

My memories of the show was that it was a another of the very family oriented shows but it dealt with a persona that we had not seen before and that was the struggles of being a child of the President during a time when they were dating and falling in Love and how hard that could be.

I remember the star being very pretty and the cast around her being just as interesting, I'm not sure of the role she played but I enjoyed Celeste Holm and her work in the show. I was really disappointed when they cancelled the show. The one episode that I remember is when the two lovebirds were going to break off their engagement and the two older actors both made the the other of the two that were suppose to be getting married think that the other had dug up a tree that they had planted together thus bringing them back together.
