I saw an episode of the 1972-74 series "Temperatures Rising" in 1993. I'm not sure but I think it was the first episode. ("Operation Bingo") Guest stars on that episode included: Charles Lane (as an outraged patient), John Stephenson, and Alice Ghostley. (as a patient afraid of doctors) On this show Dr. Noland (played by Cleavon Little) uses the hospital elevators for some sort of betting game among the staff. He also hypnotizes a patient (Alice Ghostley) into making her less afraid of doctors, and unknowingly hypnotizes student nurse Ellen Turner (Nancy Fox) who happens to be nearby. As a result, in one scene, Nurse Turner and Dr. Campanelli (James Whitmore) are in a elevator and she makes a pass at the doctor. Also, a rising thermometer was used as a transistion between a few scenes. For the most part the humor was silly; imagine "Bewitched" or "Gilligan's Island" set in a hospital. Even the show's "look" (how it was filmed) was similiar to the two shows. Seemed more appropriate for Saturday morning rather than prime time. Overall, an OK show.
