Music in 1978By Patrick Mondout
Disco was so prevalent in 1978 that some of the most unlikely rock acts
turned out disc-tinged albums - some successfully (Rolling
Stones, Blondie, Rod
Stewart) and some not so successfully (Chicago,
Elton John). The
year also saw the recorded debuts of both Prince
and Van Halen, with the latter
eventually selling over 10 million copies.
