Stadiums of the Super70s

By Patrick Mondout

What would coverage of Super70s and Awesome80s sports be without pages for the stadiums we watched these events in? From classics like Wrigley Field, Tiger Stadium, Soldier Field and Lambeau Field, to the cookie cutter multipurpose stadiums of the late 60s and early Super70s, to the era of the domes - we're going to cover them all.

Unforgettable moments like the Franco Harris' miraculous reception and notorious spectacles like disco demolition night will stay with us a lifetime even if the stadiums themselves have already been reduced to rubble to make way for another generation of single sport venues.

Documenting all of his will take time and your help. I have my favorite teams just as you do and I can only spread myself so thin in bringing this site to you - I've got to keep working on all the other sections too! So, if you have memories and stories that other will appreciate, use the feedback links ("Share Your Memories") found on almost all of these pages and help us all reminisce. In time we'll have something special our generation can look back on as we get older and even more nostalgic for the days of yesteryear.

A note about naming conventions. We have called these stadiums by the names that were in use during the Super70s and Awesome80s. Call us "old school" but just because some corporation has paid $500M for 100 years of naming rights doesn't mean that we have to call them by these names.

Although these stadium pages can be accessed from the home pages for their teams, we've also included a list below if you just want to browse the venues:
