Newly divorced, Felix Unger (Tony Randall), needing a place to live, moved in to Oscar Madison's (Jack Klugman), Manhattan apartment. Oscar was a laid-back, slovenly, poker-playing sportswriter who dressed like an unmade bed. Felix was his exact opposite, an uptight, persnickety, compulsively-neat, photographer forever picking up after Oscar.

Their disparate personalities and lifestyles were a never-ending source of problems.  Oscar frequently had his buddies, Murray (Al Molinaro) the cop, Speed (Garry Walberg) who had a gambling problem, and spineless Vinnie (Larry Gelman), over for a game of poker. 

Jack Klugman's real-life wife played Oscar's ex-wife, Blanche (Brett Somers). Miriam (Elinor Donahue) played Felix's girlfriend for a couple of seasons. In the final episode, however, Felix remarried his ex-wife Gloria (Janis Hansen) and moved out of the apartment leaving Oscar to his preferred state of chaos.

I liked the one where Felix was trying to convince his ex-wife that he had changed, and he ate Oscar's "Goop Malange." When Oscar was taking the leftovers of the dish to Felix's ex-wife to show her that he actually ate that, and the cab driver made him put it in the trunk. I think it had ketchup, potato chips, sardines, and I can't remember what all! --Anonymous
