B.J. and the BearBy Wikipedia
B.J. and the Bear was a comedy/adventure television
series which aired on NBC from 1979 to 1981. It starred Greg Evigan as B.
J. (Billie Joe) McCay, a trucker who traveled the country's highways with
his pet chimpanzee, Bear. He was constantly harassed by sheriff Elroy P.
Lobo (Claude Akins, who eventually spun off onto his own show, Lobo).
In 1981, when the show returned from hiatus, B.J. had settled down to
run Bear Enterprises, a trucking company based in Los Angeles. His
opponent was Rutherford T. Grant (Murray Hamilton), the corrupt head of
the state's Special Crimes Action Team, who was a silent partner in a
competing trucking company. Because of Grant's harassment, B.J. was unable
to hire experienced truckers, and he was forced to hire seven beautiful
young female truckers, including Grant's daughter Cindy (Sherilyn Wolter).

I can recall some of the moments when the BJ character seemed real, such as when he supposely met Dracula in one episode, he was shaken up. And the character of BJ seemed to attract women but he didn't seem to have too many series relationships with one girl. He seemed to try such as episodes with Pogo Lil, Through the past, and Grant plants a spy. His relationships were mainly a sexual tease, it would have been great if the series lasted to see if BJ gets to settle down or pick at least two girls to decide which to settle for. It would have been interesting if BJ fell in love with a girl who was the complete opposite of what he stood for. --Anonymous | Note: This is just a random sample of the B.J. and the Bear messages in our TV forums!
