Television in the 1970s
When the Super70s began, there were televisions in 59 million
households. When the decade ended, they were in 75 million. Cable TV,
which had been around since the 50s, came of age with subscriptions
tripling from 4.5 million in 1970 to 14.1 million in 1979. Here is our
look at Super70s television.
We've got TV grids (schedules) for the Super70s, so choose a year
from the list on the left and begin your journey! Anglophiles and
Masterpiece Theatre fans should check out our look at classic
Super70s British television. We've also started our look at kids
shows.
New! Get all your
favorite shows on DVD at our Super70s
TV Store (powered by Amazon.com)!
If you've been disappointed because your feedback wasn't posted quickly
in the past, you'll be happy to learn that it is no longer a problem. We
have setup new
forums for you to discuss all your favorites! Tell all of us about
your favorite episodes, characters, actors and actresses, ask questions
about the shows, or just read what others have to say! We've moved the old
messages to the new forums, so there are thousands of messages in these
forums dating back to the last century!
